The James Webb Space Telescope, Aliens & Wormholes With Kip Thorne

The dawn of a new era in astronomy has begun as the world gets its first look at the full capabilities of the James Webb Space Telescope.

This mighty instrument, captured the most detailed measurements of starlight filtering through the atmosphere of a planet outside our solar system to date. Distinct water signatures were observed, as was evidence of haze and clouds that previous studies did not detect.

As the number of habitable-zone planets grows, one cannot help but wonder why we have not yet detected evidence for an alien civilization? We have not seen or heard from extraterrestrial civilizations after all these years of advanced telescope and satellite exploration. There is a conflict between the lack of clear, obvious evidence for extraterrestrial life and various high estimates for their existence.

Also, American theoretical physicist known for his contributions in gravitational physics and astrophysics, Kip Thorne shares his knowledge about the science behind wormholes.

An Einstein–Rosen bridge, or wormhole requires extreme warping of space-time, which in turn depends on very powerful gravitational forces. So, a good place to hunt for these theoretical tunnels is near the supermassive black holes that lurk at the cores of galaxies.
