📝 Special Statement

Step into a fresh arena of strategic thinking with a game that redefines classic checkers! ♟️ Forget the diagonals you know; here, the most important feature is that all moves and captures with checkers are made horizontally and vertically. This unique twist completely changes the flow of the game, including the initial setup. On a traditional 64-cell board, each opponent begins by placing their 16 checkers on all cells of the second and third horizontal rows.

You have a variety of ways to engage in this fascinating challenge! You can hone your skills by playing against artificial intelligence, enjoy a friendly match with another person on one device, or test your might against an opponent online in multiplayer mode. For those who prefer to observe, you can watch other players play as a spectator, or even get involved by suggesting your own version of the next move to a player directly on the board.

The player commanding the white checkers always goes first. Here's how your pieces move and capture:

  • A simple checker advances one square forward, left, or right.
  • A queen can sweep across any number of empty squares forward, backward, right, or left.
  • If you have an opportunity to capture an opponent's checkers during your turn, you must take them.
  • A simple checker captures an opponent's checker directly in front, to the right, or to the left.
  • A queen captures an opponent's checker any number of empty squares in front, behind, to the right, or to the left, provided the square immediately following the captured checker is empty.
  • When captures occur, the checkers are removed from the board one by one during the move.
  • A simple checker that successfully reaches the eighth horizontal row gloriously becomes a queen at the end of that move.

Victory can be achieved in multiple ways! You win if you manage to destroy all of the opponent's checkers, or if you deprive them of the ability to move. Additionally, you can claim victory if you are left with several of your simple checkers against only one simple checker of your opponent.
