The gameplay loop is designed to be intuitive, allowing you to quickly settle into the relaxing flow of the experience. To begin your session, you must first cast the line into a body of water using the 'Z' key. Once your line is set, patience becomes your greatest tool. Wait until fish start nibbling, watching the bobber gently dance on the surface.

The moment of truth is unmistakable and instantly rewarding: when a fish is hooked on, you will hear a loud "ploonk!" sound and the bobber will go fully underwater. This is your cue for action! To successfully land your catch, you must push 'Z' as fast as possible to reel the fish in. The frantic final reel provides a satisfying burst of action before returning you to the calm of the waterside.

Fish Index: To plan your catch and understand these cycles, you can check to see what times fish are available in the fish index by pushing 'X' or 'ENTER.' This feature allows you to decide whether to wait for the next sunrise or move to a new location.
Habitat Locations: Fish are strictly only able to be caught in their habitat locations. These distinct areas are essential to explore: the river, lake, beach, or sea. Traveling to these different spots ensures a diverse and successful fishing haul.
