He looked around, his large, curious eyes taking in the sharp, menacing gears and the glint of spikes lining the floor. He had to escape.

A faint glow caught his attention: a scattering of coins, like fallen stars, leading deeper into the labyrinth. He knew instinctively they were important. He needed them. He needed to be rich, to buy his freedom, or perhaps, simply to survive.

With a deep breath, he took his first step. WASD became his guide, his paws pressing the keys with a strange, newfound familiarity. He leaped, a double jump propelling him higher than he'd ever thought possible, dodging a whirring gear that threatened to slice him in two.

The blue monster moved, a blur of fur and determination. He collected coins, each one a tiny victory against the oppressive atmosphere. He dodged spikes that shot up from the floor like venomous fangs and leaped over chasms where gears spun, their sharp edges glinting in the dim light.
