The rules are simple, but the strategy runs deep. When you left-click on a square, you'll either reveal a number, an empty space, or a devastating mine. The numbers are your key to survival; they tell you exactly how many mines are touching that square, both horizontally, vertically, and diagonally. Use these clues to figure out which squares are safe to open and which ones are best left alone.

For squares you suspect are hiding a mine, a right-click will let you place a flag as a marker. Right-clicking again will remove the flag, helping you keep your strategy organized. If you're lucky enough to click an empty square—one with no mines nearby—the game will generously open up all the surrounding safe squares for you, creating a huge "hole" to get you started. This is a common and exciting way to begin a game, providing a wealth of information at once!

With a total of 32 mines scattered across the grid, the challenge is real. Your goal is to reveal every safe square on the board. Succeed, and the game will automatically flag all the remaining mines and declare you the winner! Fail, and a single wrong click on a mine will end your run.
