You are now locked into The Grand Scapegoat, a ruthless, high-stakes Dutch card game (a popular variant of games like President or Asshole) designed for 4 players! This is a chaotic, high-speed race where the only goal is to get rid of your cards and avoid the humiliating title of Scapegoat! 🤯💥

The Inverted Power Pyramid: Rank and Relentless Play! 📈🔥

Your strategy must be built around a complete understanding of the Inverted Power Pyramid—a unique and punishing card hierarchy where the lowest ranks become the most powerful:

• The Power Rule: You must play a card (or set of cards) that is strictly higher than the cards on the table to win the trick and maintain control. If an 8 is played, you must follow with a 9 or higher.
• Massive Multiples: You can play multiple cards of the same rank (a pair of 10s, a trio of Jacks, etc.). However, you must always match the number of cards previously led. If a player leads a pair, you must follow with a pair of a higher rank.

The Strategic Stall: Passing and the Reset Rule! 🧠✋

Knowing when to hold back your power is the key to victory!

• The Pass: You may pass your turn at any time, even if you have a card that could legally beat the current play. This is a critical tactical decision, often used to conserve your high-value cards (like the 3s and 2s) to seize the lead at a more opportune moment.
• The New Lead (The Reset): The current play cycle ends when the game receives 4 consecutive passes (one from each player). The player who last played a card before the passes then gets to lead a new card (or set of cards) of any rank, restarting the struggle for the center!
