Job description: Position Overview

Creating, identifying, and developing business opportunities for the advancement of growth of our company by extending educational, technical, and promotional outreach and establishing and maintaining business relationships.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintains both our existing business development pipeline and develops new business opportunities
  • Takes a role in the development of proposals and presentations for new business materials to create and nurture business opportunities and partnerships
  • Identifies trends and customer needs, building a short/medium/long-term opportunities pipeline in accordance with business and personal performance targets and company goals
  • Assists in developing strategies and positions by analyzing new venture integration
  • Assists in the coordination and implementation of marketing strategies along with the tasks to achieve those goals
  • Develops and implements business development strategy, processes, structure, and best practices across the company
  • Frequent business travel, both in-state and out of state
  • Problem solving and development of Engineering-based solutions
  • Assignments are designed to further develop judgment and understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities
  • Preparing and delivering presentations to existing and potential new clients
  • Maintains and shares professional knowledge through education, networking, events, and presentations
  • Participates in Industry technical committees and associations
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Display a high level of self-motivation, organization, and prioritization for tasks at hand
  • Demonstrates flexibility to effectively deal with changing priorities and timelines through analytical problem solving
  • Proven time management and follow-through skills with the ability to work on multiple tasks with tight deadlines
  • Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team-oriented environment
  • Exhibit comfortably and effective public speaking in conducting presentations and participating in trade shows
  • Display superior written and oral communication skills and effective listening skills
  • Maintain a tactful, mature and professional demeanor with well-developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with diverse personnel

Education, Experience and Skills/ Abilities

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Business, Civil/ Geotechnical Engineering, or 3 years of equivalent experience in construction project management, technical sales, business development, pavement engineering or other related fields.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable.
  • Knowledge of business office procedures
  • Ability to work in a High-Volume environment
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, employees, and the public.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external partners including clients, sub consultants, vendors, and customers
  • Working experience with sales and marketing techniques
  • Proficiency with data analysis, forecasting and budgeting
  • Proven ability to plan and manage resources
  • Experience with Microsoft software such as Word, and Excel and CRM software

Expected salary: $100000 – 120000 per year
